Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Office of Messenger College exists to help students find a way to finance their education.

It is the goal of the Financial Aid Office that students do not leave Messenger College with an indebtedness that prevents them from fulfilling the call of God to a ministry that may not provide a large salary.

In order to assist students financially, Messenger College participates in the Federal Student aid program.  A student who files a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) may qualify for the awards listed below.

How to Apply for Financial Aid:

Beginning June 1, 2009 Messenger College is pleased to offer a state of the art Virtual Financial Aid Office (VFAO) to better assist you with application and processing of financial aid awards.  In order to complete the Financial Aid process you must follow the steps below:

Step 1 - Complete a FAFSA - FAFSA
Completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will determine your eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant, and Federal Student Loans.  Print a copy for your records once you have submitted the application.  The copy will contain the Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) number that you will need to complete your VFAO Interview. If you need assistance with your FAFSA please call 1-800-4FED-AID.

Step 2 - Each student must complete a VFAO Interview - MC-VFAO
Your Financial Aid can not be processed until you have completed the VFAO Interview.   Once the interview is complete, you will be able to view an estimate of your financial aid package.  In order to complete the VFAO Interview, you will need your EFC (Expected Family Contribution), which is generated by completing the FAFSA.  You will also need to know the number of credit hours and the term you plan to enroll in.  Your financial aid package may be adjusted according to actual hours of enrollment once registration is complete.
