For most
students, a degree plan is not important in the first two semesters.
However, as a student advances in studies, subject choices are best
made in relation to a degree plan, which helps to assure that all
courses taken apply to the requirements for that plan. Here is what
Messenger College needs in order to build such a plan for you:
1. The degree you wish to pursue. This is particularly important in the
ministry area because the area of concentration will determine what
courses are needed for successful completion.
2. Transcripts from any other college you have attended to avoid
duplication of any course for which you may receive transfer credit.
3. A request for Experiential Credit for any areas where you feel your
studies or experience would fully be equivalent to a course included in
your degree plan. Because the Messenger Online program is accredited
with a recognized accrediting association, this will be subject to
careful evaluation. If it is determined that you probably meet the
requirements, you will need to request the guidelines showing the
requirements for this provision.
